The Graveyard Boulevard

The Graveyard Boulevard is a rock ‘n’ roll band from North Carolina that prowls the dark fringes of punk and metal. Drawing inspiration from supernatural tales, monster movies, and suspenseful books, the band has released six full-length albums since 2003 and continues to be active – performing, writing, and recording new material.

The early years of the band spawned raw punk tunes, often with lyrics inspirited by indie horror films. The founding members of Graveyard Boulevard were previously in the infamous horror punk band, The Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13 and many characteristics of that band carried over. In 2009, the Rock Scars album was released and it was the final album to feature collaborative work of The Frankenstein Drag Queens lineup. Abby Normal (guitarist/singer) recruited new members and pushed on.

By 2011, the Graveyard Boulevard had matured into a band striving for better performances and production. The band had found its stride with a new line-up and the invaluable collaboration with producer, Rob Tavaglione at Catalyst Recording. That year saw the release of a full-length album called O.G.R.E. (Organization of Generally Rotten Enterprises) on Horror High Records. The Graveyard Boulevard’s tenacious efforts were acknowledged at Charlotte’s Queen City Awards in 2012 and 2013 when the band took home back-to-back awards for Best Rock Band Of The Year.

The years that followed saw multiple album releases including What Doesn’t Kill Me Only Makes Me Laugh (2014), Subhuman Stage (2019), Will Will Wither (2022). Recent singles have been released on We Are Horror Records (see Horror Punk’s Not Dead Vol. 2 & Vol. 3).
