Ron,

I just wanted to let you know I had a great time at the con. And to thank you for inviting me. You and Fred and Cindy and Cynthia (and everyone else for that matter) were all so nice to me and Peg (my sister/photographer) that it made the whole experience a joy. I especially enjoyed participating on the various panels and in the writer's workshop with the other authors. It was great hanging out with so many writers at various stages in their careers. I think I had as much fun sharing what I've already learned with younger writers as I did picking the brains of those farther along than me. I also had a startlingly good time at the "Klingon Karaoke" and the live performance of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" but that's a different story. I think you can all be proud of the job you did. In my opinion, the con was a roaring success. I've just finished putting onto my website the pictures Peg took while at the con. Please take a look at them and see if I made any boo boos (spelling or whatnot).
And thanks again for letting me participate.

Dear Ron and Stephanie:
<< BACKThank you very much for a wonderful time at ConCarolinas. Everyone was very helpful and supportive. Preliminary review of our footage shows that the filming was successful. We are now in the lengthy editing process. Thanks again! You are good people and we look forward to seeing you again! Best Regards, Dave Herr Creative Power Productions ---------------Freedom Quotation of the Day--------------- "We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force." -- Ayn Rand, The Nature of Government From John Tyndall of F5 Productions (Rocky Horror Picture Show) Subject: A BIG Thank you From F5

G'day Ron I know you had many people pulling you many ways all threw out the Con. But I did want to stop and take some time to say Thank you. And to say it for many reasons. I also wanted to apologize for not making it to the wrap up, by the time I had gotten there it looked like things were well under way and I didn't want to be an intrusion. We hope in some way we did help make Saturday evening a success for the Con and that ya'll received only the best of feed back from your guest. If anything came up or comes up in the negative do get a hold of Toni or myself so we can see that it's fixed. But I think all in all every thing was fine. It was a joy to perform for your guest and the entire cast had nothing but the best to say on what the Con had to offer and how well it ran. On a side note, as a Con virgin, I have been told that this was a great Con to cut my teeth on and from what I've heard of other Cons, I'm glad I cut them with ya'll. In closing, your staff was outstandingly organized and helpful in many ways to our folks. Your guest we're quite friendly and welcoming and you had great choice of Venders. We all hope to see great things of your Con and hope you'll always keep SR and F5 in mind when plaining another event, as ya'll get better, we do too and you never know what we might be able to offer a year down the road. Well, It's late and been a long day.. Thank you again for everything and we look forward to talking with you as well as hopefully working with you again in the future. John Tyndall of Cast F5 |
